Future Meetings
October 12, 2027 @ 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm
As the Mechanics Institute is moving location, details of meetings from October 2027 onwards will be published when a new venue has been found. One possible location is Nottingham Central Library, but other city-centre options are being explored.
Topics will be:
- 12 October 2027, On Your Bike – Ian Newton takes us on a tour of the Raleigh Cycle Company
- 9 November 2027, Holme Pierrepont Hall, a house saved – Robert Brackenbury tells the story of how a historic house just outside Nottingham was saved for future generations, and what has been discovered over six decades
- 14 December 2027, Robin’s Puds – Food historian Mark Dawson gives us a flavour of our county’s historic treats.
